Good News!

We’re now opening Living Hope and Saint Maries Adventist Churches for worship gatherings! We had our first in-person worship services at these churches last Sabbath and we’re planning to do so again this weekend. Please keep in mind the following safety guidelines if you’re thinking of attending:

1. Those who are over 65 or have at-risk health conditions are encouraged to stay home. At risk health conditions include: diabetes, COPD, any type of lung condition, any type of condition that suppresses the immune system, asthma, emphysema, high-blood pressure, or cancer

2. We’ll have people stay 6 feet apart this coming weekend

3. Usher and dismiss attendees so they can practice social distancing

4. Sanitize surfaces that are often used once a week

5. Zoom church still happening from church sanctuary

Worship Service: 11:45 a.m.

God has blessed our ministry and those with whom we have come in contact. We are building a permanent place of worship as God provides funds, materials, and workers. The building project is close to completion and we are looking forward to the time when all will find us at that home-base as we provide a haven to learn and grow.

To access Zoom on your laptop…

Have your laptop up and running just prior to our meeting and keep an eye on your emails (in this case, before 9:15 AM Saturday morning).
When you receive the email invite in your inbox, open the email and click the link to join the meeting. You will be prompted on the Zoom website to download and install the Zoom launcher to connect you to the meeting.
Once the launcher is downloaded, open it, click to allow it to make changes to your operating system and then follow the prompts to install it
Once its installed, then you’ll be redirected to a dialog box that asks if you want to connect computer audio so you can listen and participate it the meeting. Click “Connect Computer Audio.”
Once you see the meeting video screen, you can then click on the video camcorder icon at the lower left-hand corner of your screen to connect video as well (that let’s us all see each other as well as chat and listen)
If you feel that no one can hear you, then try clicking the microphone/headset icon on the lower left-hand corner to make sure your audio is connected.

To access our Zoom meeting with a mobile device, you will need to download the Zoom App from your Google Play (if you use Android) or Apple Store (if you use IOS).
When we start the video conferencing meeting with Zoom, you’ll receive an email in your inbox with a link or a text with a link that will allow you to join the meeting.
You should be able to see all the other participants in the meeting through their video feeds and you should be able to hear them speaking as well.
To ensure that you can also be heard through the built-in microphone in your device, make sure to tap the Microphone icon on the lower left-hand corner of your screen. I’ll walk us through a few of the details of how to participate when we meet for Sabbath School before we start the lesson.

Livestream Instructions for Sermon: After Sabbath School is finished at 10:30 AM, I’ll excuse myself, close the Zoom meeting and start a livestream video on YouTube. I’ll email the link to the livestream to everyone through email and also post the link on the home page of the websites for each church. I’m hoping this will only take 15 minutes. Then, right at 10:45 AM, I’ll start the program so you all can watch and listen.
